Why is there water in the bottom of my dishwasher?
A small amount of water is normal on some models, but standing water usually means a clogged filter, a kinked drain hose or a drain pump problem.
Can a garbage disposal affect my dishwasher?
Yes. Many dishwashers drain through the disposal, so a clogged disposal or a new disposal with its knockout plug still in place can stop the dishwasher from draining.
